Since 2008 the JMS has developed a certification system to authorize clinicians and medical professionals in this field with advanced skills and specialized knowledge.

Awards

The JMWH awards prize to one researcher per year for the achievement in research that contributes to the development of the women’s health care.

Encouragement awards

The JMWH gives encouragement awards to two researchers per year that are presented at the annual meeting of the JMWH and are evaluated as excellent research.

JMWH Bayer Grant

Financial assistance is provided for the purpose of funding excellent research project on women’s health care.

Special project : “ Japan Nurses’ Health Study(JNHS)

The JMWH has been participating in the epidemiological study which focuses on the lifestyle and health of women, "the JNHS (Japan Nurses' Health Study)", since 2002.
With the support of the Japanese Nursing Association and nursing association in each prefecture, the participants were recruited from those women who are at nursing professions, aged 25 years or more. This study investigates the effects of lifestyle and healthcare on women's health. Since the study was initiated in 2001, approximately 17,000 women have been participating.

The guidebook on Women’s Health care

"The guidebook on Women’s health care (edited by the JMWH)" was published in April 2014, as a practical guide for those individual who study and practice women’s health care. This guidebook provides a broad range of each disease related to menopause and the treatment, and the history of menopausal health care and its background.

HRT guideline 2012 version

In cooperation with the board of reproductive endocrinology of the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the hormone replacement therapy (HRT) guideline 2012 was published in September, 2012. This guideline was created to organize the knowledge and understanding on HRT, and to use HRT in a safer manner.
